Analog Jetpack’s full-length debut dropped just in time to see the band spread across the continent in different projects. Recording began late 2006 and continued into June with Baltimore producer and Jimmie’s Chicken Shack drummer Jerome Maffeo at the helm. The album features the core band, Rob Getzschman, Dan Ryan and Robby Sahm with lead guitars by a couple local friends: Matt Jones, also of Jimmie’s Chicken Shack, rips polished rock solos with ferocity, while Spencer Chakedis of Deep Sound Diver lays a mercurial weave of distortion. As with the band’s EP, And How They Flew was released in a promotional floppy disk jacket and mailed in a envelope printed with the album art (see images below). Following the Indie Roots tour to support DC voting rights, Dan and Robby picked up a buzzy side project in Le Loup, a conceptual seven-piece signed to a label after their second show, and Rob moved to Los Angeles, putting the band on hiatus indefinitely.
